DALTON — The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a man who shoplifted beer from a local convenience store on three separate occasions in July. The thefts occurred on July 11, July 12, and July 14 at the Circle K store at 2214 E. Walnut Ave.
The suspect was recorded on the store's surveillance cameras during each incident. Authorities described the individual as a white man with a brown or possibly reddish brown mustache. In each instance, the man wore a black toboggan beanie hat and a necklace. His shirt varied, as he wore a gray tank top T-shirt on one occasion and a black T-shirt on the others.
On July 11, the suspect took three cans of Clubtails canned cocktails, placed two in his pockets, and put the third on a shelf near the checkout. He bought a can of Red Bull and a Slim Jim at the register. As he walked out of the store, he grabbed the third can of beer from the shelf without paying.
The following day, July 12, the suspect took a can of Clubtails from the cooler and put it into his pants pocket. He also took two 12-pack boxes of Coors Light from the cooler and walked out with them. A store employee chased the suspect into the parking lot and recovered the two 12-pack boxes of Coors Light.
The final incident occurred on July 14, when the suspect concealed a can of Clubtails in his pocket. He took a can of Red Bull to the counter, bought it, and walked out without paying for the beer. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Officer Ernesto Mora at 706-278-9085, extension 9-675.
