Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski was not selected for the All-Star team this season, despite his 10-2 win-loss record and a 2.69 earned run average (ERA). Wrobleski completed seven innings, allowing one run, in a game against the Colorado Rockies on July 7, 2026, at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium.

Wrobleski recorded 73 strikeouts and a 1.02 WHIP. "You want to be an All-Star," he said. "It's something that, regardless of the year, whenever, it's always a big deal. It's something I wanted to do. It's frustrating to not get that nod."

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wrobleski has performed enough to earn an All-Star opportunity. "I just don't want him to get dinged for not making a couple more starts that he potentially could have had," Roberts said. "He's won 10 games for us — to be able to get pitching decisions, you've got to go deeper in games — the ERA. It's about winning, the ERA is stellar, innings per outing, and so I just think that he's performed enough to earn that opportunity."

During the July 7 game, Wrobleski threw a first-pitch strike to 23 of 28 batters. Dieter Ruhle, the Los Angeles Dodgers organist, played the "Jaws" theme after each of Wrobleski's strikeouts. Ruhle also played the "Jaws" theme when Wrobleski exited the field after the seventh inning. Dalton Rushing made a shark fin gesture with his hand after Wrobleski completed his outing.

Wrobleski played in the minor leagues during the previous season. He sought advice from pitcher Clayton Kershaw during that season. Pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto is not expected to pitch in the All-Star Game. Wrobleski stated that he is content with either scenario, whether he makes the All-Star team or takes time off. "If it happens, great," he said. "If it doesn't happen, some time off and just chill for a couple days. Either way, I'm all good."
