LAS VEGAS — Conor McGregor will headline UFC 329 in a rematch against Max Holloway on July 11, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main event bout is scheduled for five rounds at 170 pounds.

McGregor, 37, has not competed in five years. His last fight was in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he lost to Dustin Poirier after suffering a leg injury. It was his second consecutive loss to Poirier. McGregor was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024 but withdrew due to a toe injury.

McGregor defeated Holloway via unanimous decision in a featherweight bout at UFC Fight Night 26 in August 2013, during which McGregor tore his ACL. Holloway is a former featherweight champion and current BMF titleholder. McGregor is a former two-division champion.

"The injury happened. It was very, very difficult. It was my only time to ever pull out of a fight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and it was a very, very tough one," McGregor said. "When that injury happened, I put it to myself. Now is the time where what you say to yourself behind closed doors, it's now time to act on that. You've got to put in the work on yourself. And that I have done."

Tom Aspinall offered a prediction on his YouTube channel, expecting a first-round knockout victory for McGregor. "I watched a couple of his interviews recently. He seems in a really good place. I know it's only an interview, but he does seem in a good place. When McGregor's on form, he's absolutely unreal. Absolutely unreal," Aspinall said. "But like I said, I heard a couple of McGregor interviews. I was very impressed with what he was talking about and how calmed he seemed and how focused he seemed. I know it's just an interview. It doesn't really mean anything but he's up against an active guy like Max Holloway. But the thing is that power doesn't leave. Like, he just needs one shot and it can be over. So, I'm more favoring towards a McGregor win. I think Conor McGregor round one knockout. ... I think he's going to land the big left bomber on him."
