CONNECTICUT — The Minnesota Lynx ruled out Olivia Miles for their game against the Connecticut Sun on July 6, 2026, due to a calf injury. This marked the first game Miles has missed in her WNBA career.

The Lynx announced Miles' status after their morning shootaround on July 6, 2026. Prior to the announcement, she had been listed as questionable. Miles, who is from Summit, N.J., played her last college season at TCU after starting her college career at Notre Dame.

Miles left the court with 8:46 remaining in the game against the New York Liberty on July 3, 2026, and did not return. The Lynx lost that game to the Liberty. In that contest, Miles scored 14 points, secured five rebounds, and distributed five assists. She shot 5-of-16 from the field and missed all four of her 3-point attempts.

Miles was the No. 2 selection in the April 2026 WNBA Draft. Head Coach Cheryl Reeve said, "We're fortunate that Olivia Miles was ready to go from Day 1." Reeve added, "She wasn't intimidated and from day one, she felt like she belonged."

Through 20 games, Miles averaged 18.5 points, 5.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 50.6% from the floor. She leads the Minnesota Lynx in scoring and assists and was named an All-Star starter. Miles leads all rookies in scoring with 18.7 points per game, in assists with 5.7 per game, and in efficiency with a rating of 22.8. She also ranks sixth in efficiency and eighth in assists across the WNBA.

Miles has received two Rookie of the Month awards. She was sidelined for the entire 2023-24 season due to an ACL injury. Miles stated, "I've always known who I am as a player." She added, "I'm kind of surprising myself a little bit here and there."

The Minnesota Lynx entered the July 6 game with a 15-5 record, which was the best record in the WNBA at that time. Reeve said of Miles, "And she's a big part of why we're successful."
