SILVIS, ILL. — Lucas Glover holds a two-shot lead after two rounds of the 2026 John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. Glover achieved a total score of 14 under par following his performance on Friday, July 3.

Glover, 46, shot a 63 in the first round on Thursday, July 2, and followed it with a 65 in the second round. He recorded zero bogeys and made 14 birdies across the first two days of play. "Kind of just kept playing nice," Glover said, adding that his performance was "Nothing spectacular, just solid, good golf."

Lee Hodges is in second place at 12 under par after scoring a 66 in the second round. Hodges discussed his putting, stating, "Probably the best single day of putting I've had on tour." He added, "It bailed me out a couple of times."

Zac Blair occupies third place at 11 under par after completing his second round with a 68. Blair noted he hoped his putter would remain effective, stating, "Just get a bunch of looks and hopefully the putter stays kind of hot, and you make a few and you make it pretty easy on yourself." Jackson Suber is tied for fourth place at 10 under par.

Other golfers who made the cut, which was set at 3 under par, include Eric Cole and Jordan Spieth, both with total scores of 3 under par. Cole scored 63 in the second round. Max Homa is in 10th place at 9 under par, while Zach Johnson is tied for 11th at 8 under par. Blades Brown and Preston Stout are tied for 19th place at 7 under par.

Glover has six career PGA Tour victories, with his most recent win prior to this event occurring in 2023. He also won the John Deere Classic in 2021. Regarding his current position, Glover stated, "I know good and well that it's going to take a lot more, so there's not going to be any hanging on." He emphasized an aggressive approach, saying, "The pedal has to be down, stay aggressive."
