SPOKANE — The Spokane Indians defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils 3-2 in 10 innings at Avista Stadium on June 28, 2026. Roynier Hernandez hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to secure the victory.

Tommy Hopfe hit a triple in the bottom of the first inning, and Jack O'Dowd followed with an RBI single, scoring Hopfe. Tri-City's Capri Ortiz hit a solo home run in the top of the third inning. O'Dowd then hit an RBI double in the bottom of the third inning, giving the Spokane Indians a 2-1 lead.

Lebarron Johnson Jr. pitched six innings for the Spokane Indians. He allowed one run on one hit and one walk, striking out six batters. Johnson threw 76 pitches, with 51 designated as strikes. Tri-City's Tyler Bremner pitched four innings, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

In the top of the eighth inning, Harold Coll hit a double for the Tri-City Dust Devils. Nathan Blasick hit Johan Macias with a pitch. Jorge Ruiz hit a grounder that was not handled by Spokane third baseman Ethan Hedges, which allowed Coll to score and tie the game at 2-2.

Hunter Mann pitched the top of the 10th inning for Spokane, retiring all three batters. In the bottom of the 10th, Kelvin Hidalgo was the automatic runner at second base. Tommy Hopfe reached base on a throwing error by Tri-City reliever Nicolo Pinazzi. Pinazzi then threw a wild pitch, advancing both runners.

Hernandez finished the game 1-for-5, bringing his batting average to .306. Indians manager Tom Sutaris commented on Hernandez's performance. "That's the guy you want up with the game on the line," Sutaris said. "We have a few guys like that, but definitely (Hernandez). He puts the bat on the ball and is a good matchup for us. He's a heck of a ball player, really just has great bat-to-ball skills. He gives you a chance every time, and the way the game is played today, those kind of guys really stand out."
