A United States bankruptcy court approved a settlement between USA Cricket and American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) on July 4, 2026. The decision restores the commercial partnership between the two entities and enables USA Cricket to resume operations.

ACE will provide more than $1.1 million in financial support to USA Cricket to assist in completing its bankruptcy process. As part of the settlement, ACE agreed to withdraw its $150 million claim against USA Cricket.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended USA Cricket in 2025. Earlier that year, USA Cricket attempted to terminate its agreement with ACE. The organization subsequently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, leading to a court-appointed trustee taking control of its affairs.

Judge Michael E. Romero approved the settlement and rejected objections to the agreement. Several former officials and stakeholders had opposed the settlement terms. The court-appointed trustee negotiated the deal with ACE.

Johnny Grave, CEO of Major League Cricket, acknowledged the court's decision. "We are pleased that the Court has approved the settlement and financing arrangements," Grave said. "We recognize this has been a challenging period for everyone involved in U.S. cricket."

"Throughout this process, our objective has remained the same: to support the long-term future of cricket in the United States while ensuring that USA Cricket has a realistic pathway to emerge from bankruptcy and restore its membership with the ICC," Grave said. The ICC and the court-appointed trustee are expected to oversee the rebuilding of USA Cricket through a transitional governance structure. Full elections for USA Cricket are expected to be restored after this period concludes.
