Discussing her return, Serena Williams said, "It was so fun. I had so much fun playing with Victoria." She added, "We've never played together but it just felt so natural playing with her." Regarding her current focus, she said, "I've had enough pressure. For me right now, it's really just about my kids getting to see me play." On the topic of singles competition, she noted, "I can't say no right now. I feel like I probably need to train a little bit more if I want to play singles, and we will see if I get there, and if not that's not my journey right now."
