TOLEDO — Twelve individuals sustained injuries during a shooting on June 6 at the Old West End Festival in Toledo. Police identified Ka Nye Taylor, 20, as a suspect wanted on 11 counts of felonious assault in connection with the incident, and he remains at large.

Law enforcement arrested Eljay Crisp-Carr, a second suspect, on 11 counts of felonious assault, and he remains in custody. Investigators determined the violence began when a dispute between rival groups escalated into a foot chase and a physical assault. Three of the twelve victims were involved in an initial altercation, while nine were bystanders.

Police Chief Troendle said, "At that point, one person pulled out a firearm and started shooting. Someone from the rival group then pulled out his firearm and started returning fire." One shooter opened fire from the festival beer garden area. All twelve victims are expected to survive their injuries, and nine had been discharged from medical facilities as of June 10. Half of the victims arrived at the hospital with tourniquets applied by police or bystanders.

Authorities canceled the second day of the festival on Sunday. The U.S. Marshals Service offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Local police offered a separate reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the suspects' arrests. Law enforcement executed multiple search warrants and interviewed several people of interest during the investigation.

Allison Armstrong, Chief of Fire and Rescue, said, "We saw strangers who were shocked and frightened by the violence they just saw, they jumped into action. They helped others by placing tourniquets, dressing wounds, applying pressure and comforting those victims until additional help could arrive." Police described Taylor as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
