CHICAGO — Jewelry designer Vivian Grimes is launching a new collection of custom Oura Ring jackets with prices starting at $3,000. The founder of Henri Noël has received 40 inquiries for custom pieces since posting her design on social media in early March, with new requests coming in daily.
Grimes first conceived the idea for Oura Ring jackets in September during a client meeting. She told client Dawn McKenna she could create a diamond-encrusted jacket to fit over an Oura Ring. The concept gained traction when Grimes posted an image of her design on Instagram and TikTok in early March.
Some Oura Ring jackets in the collection are adorned with diamonds and can cost up to $10,000. Google search interest for Oura Ring jacket spiked at the end of 2025 after being practically nonexistent over the previous five years.
Oura Rings first hit the market in 2015 as ceramic steel devices available in black and white that resembled chunky wedding bands. The current Oura Ring 4 is made of titanium, with a starting price of $349 and gold and rose gold finishes priced at $499. In October, Oura released ceramic versions of the Oura Ring 4 priced at $499.
Oura, a privately held company based in Finland, has previously explored luxury collaborations. The company partnered with Gucci in 2022 on a $950 design featuring a braided border and an 18-karat gold Gucci G. In September, Oura said it was on track to reach $1 billion in sales in 2025, doubling its revenues from 2024. The company expects to reach $1.5 billion in sales in 2026.
The smart ring market continues to expand with new entrants. RingConn plans to launch its Gen 3 smart ring later this year with blood pressure monitoring capability. Pebble launched the Pebble Index 01 smart ring priced at $75, which includes a mini microphone for recording thoughts.
