BROOKLYN, MICHIGAN — Ford will seek its 750th NASCAR victory in the FireKeepers Casino 400 on Sunday at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. A win at this event would mark a milestone for the manufacturer.
Ford has one win in 14 races during the 2026 NASCAR season. The manufacturer has historically performed well at Michigan International Speedway, winning 56 of 108 total NASCAR events held there. Since 1984, Ford has won 43 of 79 races at the track.
Ford secured nine consecutive victories at the track, beginning with Clint Bowyer's win in 2018 and concluding with Chris Buescher's win three seasons ago. Team owner Jack Roush has 14 career wins at the track. Wood Brothers Racing has achieved 11 career wins at the track, with ten of those wins featuring a Mercury.
NASCAR driver Ryan Preece said, "Big, big weekend for Ford. Big weekend for Jack Roush." Zane Smith, another NASCAR driver, stated, "I got my first NASCAR win there in the Truck Series. We know how much that means to Ford."
Michigan International Speedway is characterized by its high-banked, D-shaped track configuration. During last year's FireKeepers Casino 400, Denny Hamlin passed William Byron with four laps remaining. Hamlin won that race at the track while running on low fuel.
