WASHINGTON — Republicans defeated Democrats 11-2 in the Congressional Baseball Game on June 10, 2026, at Nationals Park in Washington. This victory marked the Republican team's sixth consecutive win in the annual event.

More than 32,000 tickets were sold for the game, which raised over $3.2 million. The proceeds are designated to support Congressional Sports for Charity, an organization that funds Washington-area nonprofits and scholarships. The 2025 event had raised $2.8 million from ticket sales and donations.

Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt scored a run in the first inning. Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., started as the pitcher for Republicans, while Rep. Chris Deluzio, D-Pa., started as the pitcher for Democrats. The team scored two additional runs in the second inning following a throwing error. They held an 11-0 lead after four innings.

Sen. Schmitt sustained a facial injury after making a diving catch during the game. Rep. Morgan McGarvey, D-Ky., hit a ground-rule double in the bottom of the fourth inning and was subsequently thrown out at home plate. Rep. Dave Min, D-Calif., recorded a base hit that drove in two runs for their team.

The House Appropriations Committee paused a markup of the fiscal 2027 Homeland Security bill on Wednesday afternoon to allow its members to attend the game. Both teams wore identical uniforms during the 2026 game to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. In previous years, players typically wore jerseys representing their home districts. The team used the same starting lineup for the 2026 game as they did in 2025, when they defeated the Democrats 13-2.
