PORTLAND, OREGON — The National Women's Soccer League released its latest power rankings with Portland Thorns FC in first place, Angel City FC in second place, and NJ/NY Gotham FC in third place.

Portland Thorns FC beat Seattle Reign FC 2-0 despite playing with nine players after Cassandra Bogere received two yellow cards in the ninth minute and Reyna Reyes was sent off in the 57th minute. Pietra Tordin and Reilyn Turner each scored a goal for Portland in the match that drew an attendance of 21,321.

Angel City FC beat Bay FC 3-1 to open a season with two wins for the first time in team history. Sveindís Jónsdóttir won a one-on-one duel in the fourth minute and scored in the second half, while also assisting Gisele Thompson's goal.

Houston Dash ranks fourth after beating Boston Legacy FC 3-0 at Shell Energy Stadium. Kiki Van Zanten scored two goals and Kat Rader added another, while Casey Murphy made an early penalty save.

North Carolina Courage sits in fifth place following their scoreless draw with NJ/NY Gotham FC. Kailen Sheridan reached 15,000 National Women's Soccer League minutes and kept a clean sheet with one save in the match.

Kansas City Current holds sixth place after losing 2-1 to Chicago on Sunday in Evanston, Illinois. Haley Hopkins scored a goal in the 57th minute after coming on as a halftime substitute, with Izzy Rodriguez providing the assist.

Seattle Reign FC ranks seventh following their 2-0 loss to Portland Thorns FC. Portland played with ten players in the first ten minutes and nine players in the second half, while Seattle had three shots on target and Morgan Messner made four saves.

Bay FC occupies eighth place after losing 3-1 to Angel City FC at PayPal Park. Taylor Huff scored Bay FC's goal.

Washington Spirit ranks ninth after drawing 2-2 with Racing Louisville FC after trailing 2-0 to earn their first point of the season. Sofia Cantore scored a long-distance goal to cut the deficit to one goal, and Leicy Santos scored the equalizer in the 74th minute.

Racing Louisville FC holds tenth place after drawing 2-2 with Washington Spirit in their home opener at Lynn Family Stadium. Emma Sears assisted Kayla Fischer for a goal from outside the area, and Fischer returned the favor by assisting Sears on an individual breakaway.

Denver Summit FC ranks eleventh after earning its first-ever point in a 1-1 draw with Orlando. Melissa Kössler opened the scoring with a right-footed finish in the 24th minute, while Abby Smith made ten saves.
