NASHVILLE — Blades Brown accepted a PGA Tour special temporary membership on June 2, 2026, the Tour announced. The designation grants the 19-year-old unlimited sponsor exemptions for the remainder of the 2026 season, removing the usual cap of seven.

Brown qualified for the status by earning 266 non-member FedEx Cup Points, a total that places him between No. 88 and No. 89 in the current FedExCup standings. His performance at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on May 24, where he tied for 14th with an 18-under total of 66-68-65-67, contributed to that point total. He has made 10 of 16 cuts in PGA Tour events in 2026 and recorded two top-10 finishes, including a tie for 18th at The American Express in January after playing in the final group with Scottie Scheffler and Si Woo Kim.

The Nashville native turned professional at age 17 in 2024, bypassing college, and did not secure a PGA Tour card through Qualifying School in the fall of 2025. Since then, he has split his schedule between the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour, where he currently ranks No. 11 on the points list. He owns a runner-up and a third-place finish on the Korn Ferry Tour this year, along with six top-25 results and top-25 rankings in 10 statistical categories.

Brown said, "Good golf takes care of everything." He also said, "The Korn Ferry Tour is awesome. The cool thing that I think it’s done is it’s taught me to go low. I can’t thank the Korn Ferry Tour enough for teaching me those valuable lessons because everybody out on the PGA Tour, they can go low."

With special temporary membership, Brown remains eligible for sponsor invites to the eight remaining regular-season PGA Tour events. He is 562 points shy of the equivalent of 70th place in last year’s FedEx Cup Fall standings, which would earn him a full PGA Tour card for 2027. In the near term, he plans to compete in upcoming Korn Ferry Tour stops in Raleigh, North Carolina, and South Carolina. His career earnings total $833,612 from PGA Tour events alone, and $1,692,085 when including Korn Ferry Tour earnings.
