Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider announced at the NFL combine in Indianapolis that the team would not engage in a bidding war for running back Kenneth Walker III. The Super Bowl LX MVP signed a three-year, $43.05 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs minutes after the negotiating window opened.

The Seahawks signed Emanuel Wilson to a one-year contract worth up to $2.1 million. Wilson went undrafted in 2023 out of Division II Fort Valley State in Georgia and played for the Green Bay Packers for his first three NFL seasons.

"Our pro staff did a great job evaluating, identifying Emanuel and just saying, here's this 230-pound guy with great feet. You sign a one-year deal like that, it's kind of like, come on in, come be part of our culture, come prove it, see what you can do and compete with the group. He's a heavy runner, and we're excited about him," Schneider said at the combine.

As a backup to Josh Jacobs over the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Wilson recorded 998 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 228 carries (4.4-yard average) and added 147 receiving yards and one touchdown on 26 catches. Wilson is listed at 5-foot-10 and 226 pounds.

Zach Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in the playoffs and underwent surgery to repair it in late February. "If it was up to Charbs, he probably would have just braced it up and played the last two games. He's a true pro. He's so strong and his work ethic is outstanding," he said.

George Holani assumed the No. 2 running back role when Charbonnet suffered the injury. Holani recorded 44 scrimmage yards on nine touches in two playoff games.

Kenny McIntosh was selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL draft. McIntosh missed time as a rookie with a knee injury and is recovering from an ACL tear.
