SAN ANTONIO — Jacob Wenske, 26, was arrested early Thursday in San Antonio and booked in the Bexar County jail on charges of making terroristic threats related to bomb threats targeting downtown San Antonio ahead of a Turning Point USA event featuring CEO Erika Kirk. The charge is a third-degree felony for terroristic threat with intent to impact public service, cause public fear, cause serious bodily injury, or influence government.

On January 26, Wenske sent an email stating, "Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event." He later posted in a Facebook comment section promoting the June 5–7 Women's Leadership Summit at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, "I know exactly where to bomb." He added, "I can't wait to be the valet for her escort."

Investigators confirmed the Facebook profile that made the threatening comments belonged to Wenske through associated subscriber records, a registered email address, a linked phone number, and IP address information. They also discovered repeated hostile and threatening posts by Wenske across multiple public threads targeting people affiliated with and supportive of Turning Point USA. Authorities stated that Wenske's comments signify targeted violence and "are commonly interpreted as threats of mass-casualty violence." They said his remarks could indicate surveillance and interest in the event's entry points.

Wenske previously worked for a parking management company that provided valet services to hotels and special events. The San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter increased its security measures in response to the threats, including adding more uniformed officers, security personnel, and heightened alerts. Wenske directly communicated to Turning Point USA that he threatened death toward Erika Kirk.
