OKLAHOMA CITY — Six teams advanced to the second round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament Thursday in Oklahoma City. Virginia Commonwealth defeated North Carolina 82-78 in overtime, High Point beat Wisconsin 83-82, Texas A&M defeated St. Mary's 63-50, Texas defeated BYU 79-71, Duke defeated Siena after trailing by 11 points at halftime, and Nebraska defeated Troy 76-47.

Virginia Commonwealth, seeded No. 11, defeated sixth-seeded North Carolina behind Terrence Hill Jr.'s 34-point performance in the overtime victory.

High Point, seeded No. 12, defeated fifth-seeded Wisconsin in the final seconds. Chase Johnston scored the game-winning layup with 11.2 seconds remaining, marking his first two-point field goal of the season in the 83-82 victory.

Texas A&M, seeded No. 10, defeated seventh-seeded St. Mary's 63-50.

Texas, seeded No. 11, defeated sixth-seeded BYU 79-71. AJ Dybansta scored 35 points for BYU in the loss. Dybansta is projected to be a top pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

Duke, seeded No. 1, defeated 16th-seeded Siena after trailing by 11 points at halftime. The Blue Devils went on a 15-4 run to close out the game.

Nebraska, seeded No. 4, defeated 13th-seeded Troy 76-47. The victory was Nebraska's first NCAA tournament win in its ninth tournament appearance.
