Ismael Camara canceled his official visits to Texas A&M, LSU, Texas, and Oregon that were scheduled over the next month. The nation’s No. 4 interior offensive lineman had planned to begin the visits at Texas A&M this weekend.

Camara announced his decision in a post on Twitter, stating, "I want to extend my sincere gratitude to all the coaches and programs who have invited me to take an Official Visit this summer, as well as the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to make these visits so special for players and their families. That being said, I have decided not to take any Official Visits this summer."

The 6-foot-6, 340-pound offensive lineman, a native of France who moved to the United States in 2024, is in his second year of playing football. He is attempting to complete high school in 2.5 years to enroll early in college in 2027 and has received more than 30 Power 4 scholarship offers. Camara has not set a specific date to announce his college commitment.

Camara, a team captain who participated in summer workouts with his high school teammates, cited his final high school season as a key reason for canceling the visits. In a separate social media post, he wrote, "This is my final season last year was my first on varsity, and we fell short. This year, we’re determined not to let that happen. That’s another reason why I need to stay focused and put everything I have into this sh*t."

Rivals VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong described Camara’s recruitment as a three-team battle among Oregon, Texas A&M, and Texas. Wiltfong wrote, "The Aggies have always been a leader for him with Oregon and Texas two others in prime position." The Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine currently favors Oregon in his recruitment.

Camara told Wiltfong he has no plans to rush his college decision. "All this noise around my decision and what other players are choosing, why it is so important and who it makes happy and not happy. I don’t have to announce that decision yet. I will know it when the time comes. People who know me, know me. And I have my team working on making everything happen according to what God has planned. And that is the plan I have to know before I share it. I don’t care what people think. I don’t care what other guys are doing, God bless them all and their decisions. They have nothing to do with me."
