SAN ANTONIO — The City of San Antonio launched a survey on June 26 to collect resident feedback on preferred methods for receiving construction-related notifications. District 1 Councilmember Dr. Sukh Kaur introduced the survey on the city’s SASpeakUp platform to guide improvements in how the city communicates about nearby construction projects.

The survey is designed to understand how, when, and where residents prefer to be notified about construction activities. It asks respondents about preferred communication methods, including mobile apps, social media platforms, and other options. Participants are also asked how frequently they want updates and what time of day is best for receiving them.

The survey explores whether construction updates should be shared in community spaces such as libraries, parks, and community centers. Responses will help shape future city efforts to improve construction-related communication and better meet community needs.

“Our office wants to make sure construction updates reach people in ways that are timely, relevant, and easy to access,” Councilmember Kaur said in a release. “By asking residents directly about their habits and preferences, whether that’s using navigation apps or social media, we can design a system that truly works for San Antonio residents.”

The survey is available in English and Spanish at SASpeakUp.com/Construct and takes less than four minutes to complete. Residents were encouraged to participate until 5 p.m. on June 26.
