BEVERLY HILLS — Comedian Laura Clery was pinned under her 600-pound refrigerator in Beverly Hills after it fell while she tried to reposition it, an incident she described as the "most terrifying night of my life as a single mom. I was home alone getting ready for bed when my 600 pound fridge slammed into me and pinned me against the counter. I couldn’t move." The refrigerator had shifted after her 7-year-old son climbed on the appliance.

"I genuinely didn’t know if I was getting out of that alive. Thank God my phone was in my pocket and I was able to call 911. Thank god it didn’t fall on my kids," Clery said. Firefighters broke through her garage door and three of them lifted the appliance off her. She was transported to a trauma unit and confirmed she suffered no broken bones, only bruising and pain. Clery noted the refrigerator was supposed to be mounted to the wall but was not.
