SAN ANTONIO — Boerne resident Diana Munoz has spent 40 years amassing a collection of San Antonio Spurs memorabilia that now fills her home with signs, monuments and other team-related items. Her collection has grown as the Spurs entered the NBA playoffs.

The decor includes hats, posters, jewelry, Christmas ornaments, stuffed animals, knick-knacks and bathroom essentials. Her family contributes to the collection by giving her Spurs-themed items as birthday, Mother's Day and Christmas gifts.

"I'm an addict," Munoz said. "We are superfans. My entire family contributes to the addiction. It is phenomenal!"

Her living room serves as the central gathering place for watching games. Among the items there is a Spurs stress broom, which she swipes toward the television to put a hex on opposing teams while they shoot. The broom has been used so often that it is taped and glued together, has bends and is missing many bristles.

Although her display space is nearing capacity, she said she is not finished collecting. Items she would still like to acquire include a Spurs phone case and a Victor Wembanyama jersey. "I may run out of space and at that time I may have to eliminate another collection to expand on (my Spurs) collection," she said.

Asked which piece in her home stands out most, she did not single one out. "I just love everything. I don't think there's one particular piece that I love more than the other. I just love it all!" she said.
