Fort Worth police fatally shot two armed men in two separate incidents early Saturday in East Fort Worth, and one officer was injured during the second encounter. Both shootings occurred in the same area within about four hours of each other.

Fort Worth Police Department officers responded at approximately 12:05 a.m. to multiple calls of shots fired in the 4200 block of Wiman Drive. When officers arrived, they heard additional gunfire and saw a man with a gun.

Officers told the man to drop the weapon, and he pointed it at officers. At least one officer fired, striking the man. Officers immediately provided medical aid to the suspect until the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured in the first shooting.

At approximately 4:15 a.m., while officers were still working the scene, a white SUV drove by multiple times at high speed and appeared to be attempting to hit officers standing near their vehicle. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled, leading to a chase.

The pursuit lasted approximately 15 minutes and ended with a PIT maneuver on I-820 near the East Lancaster exit. Officers approached the vehicle with guns drawn and gave multiple verbal commands. The man did not comply and grabbed an officer's gun. Multiple officers fired their guns, striking the man.

Officers provided medical aid to the second man until the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. One officer was injured during the second shooting and taken to a hospital. It was unknown at the time how the officer was injured, and the officer was listed in good condition.
