PHILADELPHIA — The New York Knicks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 144-114 in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference second-round series on the road to complete a 4-0 sweep. The Knicks set an NBA postseason record with 11 three-pointers in the first quarter, going 11 of 13 from beyond the arc to tie the league mark for most makes in any quarter.

New York made 18 three-pointers in the first half and scored 54 points off them, taking an 81-57 lead into halftime. It was the second time in five road playoff games this season that the Knicks scored 80 or more points in a first half.

Deuce McBride hit seven three-pointers and finished with 25 points. Jalen Brunson added 22 points, while Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns scored 17 points apiece.

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 24 points, and Tyrese Maxey added 17. Philadelphia had advanced to the second round by defeating the Boston Celtics 3-1 in the first round but has not advanced out of the second round since 2001.

The victory sent the Knicks to the Eastern Conference finals for the second consecutive season. Last season they reached the conference finals for the first time in 25 years before losing to Indiana. New York fired coach Tom Thibodeau after that season and replaced him with Mike Brown, who has guided the team to seven straight playoff wins, starting with the last three games of the first-round series against Atlanta. The Knicks will face the winner of the Cleveland–Detroit series, which the Pistons lead 2-1.

The crowd at the 76ers' arena was mostly rooting for the Knicks, with fans raising brooms outside the building and waving "Always Knicks" towels inside. Knicks supporters have purchased thousands of tickets at the Philadelphia arena for playoff games across multiple seasons. Mikal Bridges and Landry Shamet, both selected by Philadelphia in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft, currently play for New York.
