Injuries have sidelined or limited a wide group of NBA players during the 2026 playoffs, affecting rosters across multiple postseason series. Teams in both conferences have lost contributors to ailments ranging from torn ligaments to bone bruises.

Donte DiVincenzo tore his Achilles tendon during the Minnesota Timberwolves' first-round series against the Denver Nuggets. In the same series, Anthony Edwards suffered a hyperextended knee, while Aaron Gordon left the matchup because of calf tightness and Peyton Watson was sidelined by a hamstring strain.

Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch addressed the toll the series had taken on both rosters. "Before the series started, I figured the real winner of this series was going to be San Antonio, because both these teams were going to take a lot of pieces out of each other, and they did. So I'm not sure what we have left standing before we go down there," Finch said.

Jalen Williams missed playoff games for the Oklahoma City Thunder because of a hamstring injury. Ayo Dosunmu scored 43 points in Game 4 and returned to the bench two games later to nurse a calf injury.

Jayson Tatum returned from an Achilles tear and then suffered a leg injury that ruled him out of Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers. Kevin Durant, who played 78 of 82 regular season games, missed every game of the Lakers series except one because of a knee injury and an ankle bone bruise. Victor Wembanyama suffered a jaw injury after tripping on a drive and hitting the court surface, causing him to miss one game. LeBron James, 41, has played in the playoffs without sustaining an injury.

Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles tendon during the series. Haliburton had hit a game-winning shot against the New York Knicks the previous year.
