The Champions League semi-final draw paired Paris St-Germain with Bayern Munich and set Atletico Madrid to host Arsenal. The winners will meet in the final in Budapest.

Paris St-Germain advanced to the last four as the holders, having won last season's Champions League. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined from Napoli and lifted the trophy with the club last season, has scored eight goals and provided five assists in this season's competition. Ousmane Dembele scored eight goals and provided six assists in last season's Champions League, a record for a Paris St-Germain player.

Vitinha has made 345 successful passes into the final third this season, the most in this season's Champions League. Nuno Mendes has been involved in an average of 7.6 attacking moves per game, the highest among defenders, while team-mate Achraf Hakimi has averaged 7.5.

Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich has made 19 defensive line-breaking passes in this season's competition, the most by any player, along with 301 successful passes into the final third, the second-most. Kimmich has put the ball into the penalty box more than any other player this season. Michael Olise has completed the third-most dribbles in this season's Champions League, ranks third for big chances created, and has scored 20 goals and provided 29 assists in all competitions this season.

Atletico Madrid has used a low block more times than any other team in this season's Champions League, with 458 in 14 games. Julian Alvarez has scored nine goals in the competition, the most by any Atletico Madrid player in a single campaign, and has made 853 high-intensity pressures this season, averaging 70 per game, the most of any player. Matteo Ruggeri has started 11 of the club's 14 Champions League games, made 20 interceptions to rank third in the competition, and won more tackles than any other Atletico player. Ruggeri finished the return leg against Barcelona with blood seeping from his forehead.

Opta rates Arsenal as marginal favourites to win the competition, ahead of Bayern Munich. David Raya, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have started together in 22 Champions League games, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 11 goals. Raya has saved 90% of the shots he has faced in this season's competition, the highest save percentage among goalkeepers. Bukayo Saka missed more than a month with an Achilles problem, including both legs of the quarter-final win over Sporting Lisbon. In the eight matches Saka played this season, Arsenal averaged 2.6 goals and 2.3 expected goals per game, compared to 1.5 goals and 1.8 expected goals per game in the four matches he missed.
