ENGLAND — Pundit Troy Deeney published his Premier League team and manager of the week selections following the latest round of fixtures. Deeney issues the picks after every round of matches this season.
In goal, Deeney named Antonin Kinsky after the goalkeeper tipped a free-kick over the bar at the end of a match against Wolves. The display followed a previous outing against Atletico Madrid in which Kinsky conceded two goals and was substituted after 17 minutes.
In defense, Harry Maguire was selected after returning from a two-game suspension and providing the assist for the opening goal against Brentford. Ryan Sessegnon was also included after scoring from left-back as Fulham kept a clean sheet against Aston Villa. Kevin Danso featured in the selection following a match against Brighton in which he made an error that led to a goal.
In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister was named after registering two assists against Crystal Palace. Tomas Soucek was included after scoring for West Ham United, who won their match in the round. Jarrod Bowen, the West Ham captain, was also selected.
Up front, Igor Jesus earned a place after scoring one goal and providing one assist as Nottingham Forest beat Sunderland 5-0. Jesus played alongside Chris Wood in the fixture.
For manager of the week, Deeney chose Roberto de Zerbi of Tottenham Hotspur following the club's win over Wolves. During that match, both Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke left the field due to injury. Tottenham won their match against Wolves in the latest round of Premier League fixtures.
