LOS ANGELES — Hannah Green won the JM Eagle LA Championship at El Caballero on Sunday, holing a 12-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to defeat Sei Young Kim and Jin Hee Im in a playoff. The 29-year-old Australian closed with a 4-under 68 to reach 17-under 271, matching Kim, who shot 70, and Im, who shot 67.

It was Green's third JM Eagle LA Championship title in four years and her first at El Caballero. Her previous victories came in 2023 and 2024 at Wilshire Country Club. The tournament was played at El Caballero for the second consecutive year because Wilshire was under renovation.

Green trailed Kim by six strokes for a few moments on the 11th green after Kim chipped in for eagle. Kim had taken a two-stroke lead into the final round and held a three-shot edge on the back nine. In the third round on Saturday, Kim built an eight-stroke advantage with five holes to go before the lead eroded.

Green birdied the 11th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th holes to climb back into contention. Kim bogeyed the par-3 17th hole. Im, who was penalized one stroke for slow play on Saturday, made a 60-foot eagle putt on the 16th hole to join the group at the top.

The playoff was contested on the par-4 18th hole. Green hit a wedge from 130 yards and curled in a right-to-left breaking putt for the win. Kim left a 35-foot birdie attempt short, and Im reached the green in three strokes after hitting her drive to the right.

Ina Yoon shot 69 to finish one stroke out of the playoff after eagling the 16th hole, birdieing the 17th and nearly holing a 30-foot birdie attempt on the 18th. Patty Tavatanakit (70) and Haeran Ryu (66) finished at 14-under, while Chizzy Iwai (70) and Minami Katsu (68) finished at 12-under. Asterisk Talley, a 17-year-old amateur playing her first event since losing the lead on the back nine in the Augusta National Women's Amateur, shot 70 and tied for 13th at 9-under.

The victory gave Green eight career LPGA Tour titles and brought her 2026 worldwide victory total to four, following wins at the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore earlier last month, the Women's Australian Open and the Australian WPGA. Green and Hyo Joo Kim are the only two players with multiple wins on the LPGA Tour this season.
