LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Rams released a short film titled "Thursday" on April 17, 2026, as part of their 2026 NFL draft rollout. The video, released on a Friday, is a parody of the 1995 comedy "Friday" starring Ice Cube and Chris Tucker.

The film uses the titular theme song by Ice Cube and reenacts several scenes from the original. O'Shea Jackson Jr., the son of Ice Cube, and Destin Tucker, the son of Chris Tucker, portray the main characters.

Actor Terry Crews makes a cameo as a parody of the character Deebo, riding a beach cruiser bicycle. Crews, who was drafted by the Rams in 1991 with the No. 281 pick, appears alongside linebackers Jared Verse and Byron Young, both of whom were selected to the Pro Bowl in the 2025 season. In one scene, Crews pulls a Rams ring from Destin Tucker's pocket. Crews also played Damon in the 2002 film "Friday After Next."

West Coast rapper YG makes a cameo as the character Stanley, wearing a velvet robe. Rams guard Kevin Dotson appears as "Big K-Dot," a nod to the original film's Big Worm character, complete with a lowrider and hair rollers.

"Playing with these picks is like playing with my emotions," Dotson says in the film. The closing line of the video is, "A lot can go down between Thursday and Saturday."

On April 17, 2026, the Rams posted on social media: "We got the Draft soon... we got s*** to do!" The video was released days before the 2026 NFL Draft, which kicks off in Pittsburgh. The Rams hold the No. 13 overall pick in the first round.
