ARKANSAS — Guard Jeremiah Wilkinson committed to the University of Arkansas on Tuesday night, choosing the Razorbacks from a group of recruiting suitors that also included Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and LSU. The 6-foot-1 guard, a Georgia native, will help replace Darius Acuff Jr. on the Arkansas roster as he enters his third collegiate program.

Wilkinson spent his most recent season at the University of Georgia, where he averaged 17.4 points per game as a sophomore. He shot 41% from the field and nearly 36% from three-point range while also averaging 1.6 steals per game during the season.

Wilkinson reached the 30-point mark in three separate games during his sophomore year at Georgia. He scored 32 points and connected on six three-pointers in a loss to Ole Miss. In another outing, he tallied 31 points in a victory over Auburn. Wilkinson also surpassed 30 points in Georgia's first-round NCAA tournament loss to Saint Louis.

The guard is already familiar with Arkansas, having faced the Razorbacks during the past season. When Georgia defeated Arkansas in January, Wilkinson posted 20 points, three assists and four steals against his future team. He now heads to Fayetteville to join the program he competed against earlier in the year.

Before his sophomore season at Georgia, Wilkinson played as a freshman at the University of California, where he averaged 15.1 points per game. His decision to commit to Arkansas makes the Razorbacks the third school of his collegiate career, following his time at California and Georgia. Wilkinson attracted interest from multiple programs across the SEC and the Big 12 before ultimately selecting Arkansas on Tuesday night.
