Toulouse defeated Bristol Bears 59–26 in their Investec Champions Cup last-16 fixture in Toulouse, scoring nine tries to advance to the quarterfinals. The result ended Bristol's Champions Cup campaign at the knockout stage.

The French side dominated the first half and led 40–7 at the break. Peato Mauvaka and Matthis Lebel each crossed twice for Toulouse, while Kalvin Gourgues and Teddy Thomas also registered two tries apiece. Jack Willis added a ninth try for the hosts. Thomas Ramos converted seven of his nine attempts from the tee.

Bristol scored four tries across the match. Captain Fitz Harding, James Williams, and Noah Heward each touched down, and Kalaveti Ravouvou scored a try on his 50th appearance for the club. The second half finished 19–19.

Toulouse fly-half Romain Ntamack received a yellow card for a high tackle on Benhard Janse van Rensburg. Janse van Rensburg left the field early in the second half with a lump and bruising close to his left eye.

Antoine Dupont captained the Toulouse starting XV, which also included Ramos, Thomas, Gourgues, Pierre-Louis Barassi, Lebel, Ntamack, Ainu'u, Mauvaka, Aldegheri, Flament, Meafou, Cros, Willis, and Anthony Jelonch. Toulouse's replacements were Lacombre, Mallez, Merkler, Brennan, Banos, Graou, Chocobares, and Kinghorn.

Bristol's starting lineup featured Louis Rees-Zammit, Ravouvou, Janse van Rensburg, Williams, Ibitoye, Jordan, Harry Randall, Ellis Genge, Oghre, Kloska, Dun, Owen, Luatua, Harding, and Grondona. Bristol's replacements included Thacker, Woolmore, Lahiff, Taylor, Ivanishvili, Marmion, Moroni, and Heward.

Italian referee Gianluca Gnecchi officiated the fixture, assisted by compatriots Federico Vedovelli and Alberto Favaro. Matteo Liperini, also from Italy, served as the television match official.

Bristol had won three of their four pool matches to qualify for the knockout phase. In their domestic Premiership season, the club sat seven points behind fourth-placed Exeter with six games remaining. Toulouse lead France's Top 14 by 12 points and could face Bordeaux Bègles, winners of the previous season's Champions Cup, in next weekend's quarterfinals.
