ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA — Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell made three home run-robbing catches in a single game against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. The Angels won the game 1-0 in the second game of a three-game series between the two teams.

Adell robbed Cal Raleigh of a solo home run in the first inning, then took away a solo home run from Josh Naylor in the eighth inning. In the ninth inning, he leaped over the wall and fell into the seats to rob J.P. Crawford of a potential game-tying home run. The catch on Crawford was upheld after a replay review. The performance marked the first time in Major League Baseball history that a player robbed three home runs in a single game.

"After the first one, the second one was kind of similar, I didn't know if I was having deja vu. Sometimes you have to help on the other side of the ball and I'm glad I did my part," Adell said after the game.

Adell was a Gold Glove finalist in 2024 after previously struggling on defense for several years. According to Inside Edge, he has recorded 10 home run robberies since 2020, tied with Kyle Tucker for the most in MLB.

Angels manager Kurt Suzuki praised Adell's effort. "This guy works as hard as anybody I've ever been around," Suzuki said.

Mariners manager Dan Wilson commented on the defensive display. "I don't think I've ever seen three in one ballgame before. It's frustrating when you feel like you put a good swing on a ball like that and you drive it like our guys did and you don't end up with anything to show for it," Wilson said.

Torii Hunter, a nine-time Gold Glove Award winner who serves as a special assistant to the general manager for the Angels, was in attendance for the game.

Zach Neto provided the game's only offense, hitting a 443-foot solo home run off Emerson Hancock's fourth pitch in the first inning. It was Neto's 10th career leadoff home run.

On the mound, Jack Kochanowicz earned the win to move to 1-0, giving up four hits and striking out seven batters over 5⅔ innings. Chase Silseth escaped a two-on, no-out jam in the seventh inning. Jordan Romano recorded his third save by retiring Cole Young on an infield popup and striking out Leo Rivas in the ninth inning.
