TWIN FALLS, IDAHO — Authorities responded to an active shooter report at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Twin Falls Police Department stated on social media shortly after 3 p.m. that they were responding to an active shooter incident at or near an In-N-Out Burger on Blue Lakes Boulevard North.

The In-N-Out location in Twin Falls is the fourth in Idaho and opened on July 24, 2026. Police agencies from Twin Falls, Buhl, Jerome, and the Idaho State Police responded to the scene. The Twin Falls Fire Department and Magic Valley Paramedics are present at the scene.

Roads leading into the In-N-Out location and a nearby bridge were closed. Authorities are looking for at least one to two shooters. Police stated they are looking for a shooting suspect near a new hotel under construction.

Twin Falls city spokesperson Josh Palmer said, "We expect that number to increase." People were bussed to the Twin Falls County Courthouse to provide witness accounts. A shelter-in-place order for the area was lifted as the investigation continued.

Magic Valley Mall was closed and people inside were told to stay put. Chick-fil-A Twin Falls closed for the remainder of Saturday as a precaution. Chick-fil-A Twin Falls stated, "Out of an abundance of caution, Chick-fil-A Twin Falls will be closed for the remainder of today."
