DYERSBURG — The Dyersburg Police Department arrested four teenagers from Hayti, Missouri, early on the morning of July 14, 2026, following a report of suspicious activity in the Bel-Air community. The arrests stemmed from an incident in which the suspects allegedly attempted to break into a vehicle, prompting a response that led to multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.

Police received a call shortly after 1 a.m. on July 14 reporting suspicious persons trying to break into a vehicle in the Bel-Air neighborhood. Officers responded to the scene and located the suspects, who initially fled before being apprehended.

The group consisted of three 17-year-olds and one 15-year-old, all from Hayti, Missouri. Authorities found that the suspects were in possession of items taken during prior vehicle burglaries, as well as burglary tools and marijuana. They were charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of marijuana, resisting stop, frisk, halt, and arrest, and criminal impersonation.

Following processing, the four teenagers were released to their guardians while they await appearances in juvenile court. The Dyersburg Police Department stated the case remains under investigation.
