CALIFORNIA — Muhammad Mokaev will fight Adriano Moraes in a flyweight bout on the undercard of Ronda Rousey versus Gina Carano on May 16 in California. Most Valuable Promotions confirmed the Mokaev versus Moraes bout when announcing the remainder of the undercard for Rousey's comeback.
Mokaev was released by the UFC in 2024. Since his release from the UFC, Mokaev has collected three wins and competed in several grappling bouts. The 25-year-old fighter remains unbeaten in 17 matches with one no contest.
Mokaev was born in Russia and moved to England as a young refugee with his family. The fighter's professional record includes victories across multiple combat sports disciplines since departing the UFC.
Moraes brings extensive experience to the matchup with 21 wins in 27 fights. The Brazilian fighter was a champion in Asia-based ONE Championship and recently became a free agent. Moraes held championship titles in the flyweight division during his tenure with the Asian promotion.
The May 16 event will consist of 11 bouts featuring fighters from various weight classes and combat sports backgrounds. The card represents a significant expansion of Most Valuable Promotions' roster of mixed martial arts events.
