ATLANTA — The Atlanta Braves recalled infielder Jim Jarvis and designated infielder Rowdy Tellez for assignment on Thursday, July 2, 2026. The move was made on the day of the third game in a series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jarvis, 25, made his Major League Baseball debut earlier in the 2026 season during the Braves' West Coast trip to Seattle and Los Angeles. During that initial stint, he made two starts and recorded one hit and two strikeouts over five plate appearances. Overall, he had five at-bats with the Braves before being recalled, achieving one hit. He is scheduled to start in the July 2 game against the Cardinals.

Tellez, a nine-year veteran, signed a minor league deal with the Braves earlier in the 2026 season. Prior to his designation, he had 10 at-bats with the team, recording two hits and four RBIs while striking out three times. Walt Weiss manages the Braves.

The Braves' current injured list includes several players. Ronald Acuña Jr. is on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring injury, while Spencer Strider, Robert Suarez, Spencer Schwellenbach, AJ Smith-Shawver, and Danny Young are all on the 60-day injured list with elbow injuries.
