New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart made 12 starts during the 2025 NFL season after becoming the team's primary starter in Week 4. He recorded 2,272 passing yards and 15 touchdowns in 14 appearances. Dart missed Weeks 11 and 12 due to a concussion. He finished 12th among 33 qualified passers in expected points added per play in 2025, and 22nd when excluding scrambles and rushes.

Former Giants quarterback Eli Manning spoke about Dart at the Manning Passing Academy. Manning, a two-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Super Bowl MVP, discussed the transition for a rookie quarterback.

"When you're coming into the NFL, you're not the starter, you're a rookie. It's kind of hard to know what your role is. How do you lead guys? Do you know your offense completely?" Manning said. "I think now, going into his second year, he's going to have a greater command of the offense and a greater command of what he needs to do."

Manning also addressed the preparation involved. "How does he need to prepare? How does he watch film? How does he pick up the blitz, and how is he going to change protections?" Manning said. "So, kind of knowing how teams played him, he can prepare for that and have answers next year. I think it just helps you from the leadership side and the preparation side of knowing what to expect."

Giants quarterback Brandon Allen, the team's third-string quarterback, shared observations about Dart. "He's got more fire in him than a lot of people I've been around," Allen said. "I've been around a lot of good quarterbacks, been in the same room as a lot of good quarterbacks. He's got the 'want to' to be great, and you can see when things frustrate him because it's not perfect yet. And obviously, we are still growing and still learning, but you can see the fire in him when he gets a little frustrated."

Allen commented on Dart's drive for perfection. "He gets mad when things aren't perfect, and you want that in a quarterback," Allen said. "You want things to be perfect—they aren't always going to be—but you want to strive for perfection. You definitely see that with him, and obviously, talent. He's got all the talent, so I think really the thing that separates him is his desire and his 'want to.' He loves it."
