SANTA CLARA — Nvidia reported first-quarter fiscal year 2027 revenue of $81.62 billion and announced an $80 billion expansion of its share buyback authorization. The company also raised its quarterly dividend to $0.25 per share and guided for second-quarter fiscal year 2027 revenue of $91 billion.
First-quarter fiscal year 2027 revenue represented an 85% increase year-over-year and surpassed the analyst consensus of approximately $78.8 billion. Diluted earnings per share for the quarter were $1.87, marking a 140% increase year-over-year and an 18% sequential increase. This figure also exceeded the Street estimate of $1.77.
Data Center revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 reached $75.2 billion, an increase of 92% year-over-year and 21% sequentially. Nvidia's Non-GAAP gross margins were 75% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, compared to 61% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026. The company's core operating profit increased 147% year-over-year in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, with an operating margin of 65.6%.
The $91 billion revenue guidance for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027 exceeded The Wall Street consensus of $86.84 billion. This guidance assumes zero Data Center compute revenue from China. Nvidia CFO Colette Kress stated that Vera Rubin, a new product, will ship in the third quarter of fiscal year 2027. Nvidia expects Vera CPU revenues to contribute meaningfully starting in Q3 FY2027 and guides for over $20 billion in CPU revenue in fiscal year 2027.
