Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride identified the Seattle Seahawks as the NFC West rival he dislikes most during a July 1, 2026, podcast interview. CBS Sports analyst Garrett Podell stated that McBride is not currently on the trade block.

McBride is under contract with the Arizona Cardinals through the 2027 season after signing a four-year, $76 million extension. Podell indicated that McBride could become a player to monitor if the Cardinals do not improve as a franchise.

During the interview on "Bussin' With The Boys," McBride discussed the challenges of playing in Seattle. "To be honest, I think it's Seattle. That's a tough place to play. Their defense is a bunch of shit talkers," McBride said. "They have a really good team, too, so I feel like every time we go to Seattle it's such a hostile environment."

McBride noted that the Seahawks have defeated the Cardinals multiple times. The Cardinals hold an 0-8 record against the Seahawks during McBride's four seasons with the team. In a Week 10 game against the Seahawks, which the Cardinals lost 44-22, McBride registered nine catches for 127 yards and a touchdown. "I don't know about locked me up, I went for like 130, but we lost," McBride said.

During the 2025 NFL season, McBride recorded 126 receptions, which ranked as the second-most in the league. He also accumulated 1,239 receiving yards and scored 11 touchdowns that season. The Arizona Cardinals finished the 2025 season with a 3-14 record. Three teams in the NFC West concluded the 2025 season with 12 wins.
