MENLO PARK, CALIF. — Hyo Joo Kim won the Fortinet Founders Cup at Sharon Heights in Menlo Park, California, on Sunday, completing a wire-to-wire victory with a 16-under 272 total. The South Korean golfer shot a 1-over 73 in the final round to hold off Nelly Korda and capture her second Founders Cup title.

Kim began the final round with a five-stroke lead, but that advantage disappeared after 10 holes. She regained the lead with a birdie on the par-4 11th hole. Both Kim and Korda bogeyed the par-4 12th hole before Kim took a two-stroke lead with a birdie on the par-4 14th hole.

The tournament's decisive moment came at the par-3 17th hole. After Kim bogeyed the par-4 16th hole, she saved par on the 17th with a flop shot from deep rough that left her 2.5 feet from the hole. Korda bogeyed the same hole after three-putting and missing a 3-foot putt. Korda shot a 69 in the final round.

"I don't think I was necessarily shaken up or my emotions were all over the place. I was just trying to keep my focus on my shots and what I was doing," Kim said through an interpreter. "I think just in the back nine my two par saves were probably the things I'm proudest about today."

Kim had dominated the tournament from the start, shooting a 63 in the first round to take a two-shot lead. She holed out for an eagle on the eighth hole during that opening round. On Friday, Kim shot a 70 to extend her lead to four strokes heading into the weekend.

The victory marks Kim's eighth LPGA Tour title and her second Founders Cup championship, having previously won the event in Phoenix in 2015. Kim also has 14 victories on the KLPGA Tour.

Sei Young Kim and Jin Hee Im tied for third place at 11 under par, with Sei Young Kim shooting a 67 and Im posting a 69 in the final round. Jeeno Thitikul tied for 14th at 8 under par after shooting a 73. The Founders Cup was first held in Arizona in 2011 as a tribute to the 13 founders of the LPGA and was held in Florida in 2025.
