WASHINGTON, D.C. — Financial disclosure forms for eight of the nine current Supreme Court justices were released on Monday, June 29, 2026. Justice Samuel Alito requested a 90-day extension for filing his financial disclosure form.

The disclosures detailed various financial activities and gifts reported by the justices. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson disclosed $1.81 million in book advances. Jackson released a memoir titled "Lovely One" in 2024. She also reported more than a dozen book events or discussions where food, travel, or lodging was provided.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett reported more than $849,000 in royalties. Barrett also reported more than a dozen book events or discussions at which food, travel, or lodging was provided. Justice Neil Gorsuch disclosed receiving $300,000 in royalty income. Gorsuch taught for approximately two weeks in July 2025 at a George Mason University campus in Prague.

Chief Justice John Roberts reported $25,000 in teaching income for a brief course at New England Law School. Justice Brett Kavanaugh received $33,285 for teaching at Notre Dame. In September 2025, Kavanaugh delivered a speech at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas, where meals, transportation, and lodging were provided.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor disclosed receiving a gift valued at $4,333 from Rimas Entertainment, the record label for Bad Bunny. Sotomayor attended a concert in Puerto Rico in August 2025 with unidentified guests while on a personal trip. Bad Bunny performed a series of shows in Puerto Rico during August 2025.

The financial disclosures come as the court faces scrutiny regarding gifts, teaching income, and undisclosed accommodations. Previous reporting by ProPublica revealed that Justice Clarence Thomas failed to report luxury travel paid for by Harlan Crow, a Republican megadonor. The Associated Press reported that McLennan Community College had invited Justice Clarence Thomas to headline an event in 2017.
