KNOXVILLE — Cheryl Reeve will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville on June 27, 2026. Reeve will become the second WNBA coach to receive this honor.

Van Chancellor was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. Reeve has coached the Minnesota Lynx since 2010 and has won four WNBA championships with the team.

Reeve led the U.S. women's Olympic team to a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Games. She has 378 career WNBA victories, one victory fewer than Mike Thibault, who holds the record for most all-time WNBA coaching victories with 379.

"(I appreciate) the magnitude of this recognition of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and the great work that has gone into this institution," Reeve said. She also recognized the historical aspect of the Hall of Fame, stating, "To walk around and see the history of how much has been done years before I could ever have this opportunity to coach."

Elena Delle Donne, a WNBA player, praised Reeve's career. "Cheryl's phenomenal," Delle Donne said. She added that Reeve made playing against her challenging, stating, "She made life really hard when we were playing against her."

Delle Donne also noted Reeve's consistent success. "When you look at Cheryl's career and what she's done and all the winning and all the Hall of Famers she's coached and then you look at her and she's not ancient, like, that's rare," Delle Donne said.

Candace Parker, another WNBA player, indicated she will be inducted alongside Reeve. "I'm super humbled to be going in with Elena and with the other inductees in the 2026 class," Parker said.
