LONDON — Revolut is implementing a new work policy for its 2027 graduate and intern recruits, mandating that they work in a Revolut office for a minimum of three days per week. This new hybrid work requirement applies regardless of the employees' base locations.

Revolut stated that this change is specific to the 2027 intern and graduate talent programs. The company's remote-first policy remains unchanged for all other employees. Under the existing remote-first policy, employees have the option to work entirely from home year-round and can work abroad for 120 days annually. Once successful graduates hired into full-time contracts pass their probation period, they will benefit from the remote-first policy, including the option to work from abroad.

"We also recognise that the early stages of a career benefit from in-person collaboration and mentoring, so all intern and graduate roles in our 2027 talent programmes are hybrid, with successful candidates to the programme expected in the office at least three days a week," Revolut stated. "This applies to the 2027 talent programmes only. For all other employees, our remote-first policy is unchanged."

The company, which operates a remote-first model globally, hired over 300 graduates and interns in the current year. Revolut has a global workforce of 11,000 employees. Earlier this year, Revolut secured a UK banking license after a five-year application process. The company was valued at $75 billion (£55 billion) last year and serves 13 million customers in the UK.

Sally Hall, a senior consultant, commented on the shift. "From someone that has spent a huge amount of my professional career working remotely, I can totally understand the need to bring graduates in," Hall said. "The best way to learn is to be a sponge and working remotely makes this so much more challenging. However, the senior people need to be in the office too, or there is nothing to absorb."
