SAN ANTONIO — Crunch Fitness unveiled its Crunch 3.0 gym design prototype and announced the next evolution of its Crunch Select premium concept during its 2026 Global Franchise Convention in San Antonio on June 25, 2026. The convention hosted more than 700 franchisees, partners, and team members.
The Crunch 3.0 prototype includes new studio spaces such as Crunch Reform Pilates, Pump Strength Training Studio, Spar Boxing Studio, and an Abs & Glutes studio. The design also features Relax & Recover amenities, which focus on recovery, contrast therapy, and red-light therapy.
A Crunch Select location in Long Beach, New York, is expected to open later in 2026. This club will be the first to showcase the next-generation Crunch Select model. Crunch Fitness operates more than 550 locations globally and serves 3.5 million members. The company projects opening approximately 100 gyms worldwide in 2026.
Chequan Lewis, CEO of Crunch Fitness, said the company is focused on strong unit growth. He added that he was honored to step into the CEO role. Jim Rowley, Executive Chairman of Crunch Fitness, noted that the convention celebrated the people who bring the Crunch experience to life daily. Rowley stated that each team member treats every check-in as a moment of truth, which defines the brand for gym-goers.
Crunch Fitness is headquartered in New York City and currently operates gyms in 41 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The company also has international locations in Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico. Leonard Green & Partners made a strategic investment in Crunch Fitness.
