HOUSTON — The Harris County Attorney's Office is investigating ownership disputes involving Matthew Jackson and his company, Save A Life Homes LLC. Jackson and the company are listed on documents purporting to claim ownership of a residence on Allston Street in the Heights neighborhood.

Locks at the Allston Street home were changed, and cameras were installed last week. Records indicate a deed was filed transferring a home on Myrtlea Drive in the Memorial neighborhood to Jackson and his company about a week prior to early November 2025. Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office deputy constables responded to a report of a suspicious person inside the Myrtlea Drive home around that time. A report was filed, but the incident was classified as a civil matter. According to Harris County Appraisal District records, the Myrtlea Drive home is valued at over $1.7 million.

Jackson has a connection to an Edgebrook Drive home where detectives discovered the remains of Victor Soliz in May 2025. Police state that Jackson moved into the residence and possessed fraudulent paperwork referencing his company. Police arrested Jackson at the home weeks after executing a search warrant there. A trespassing case related to the house was dismissed last year after Jackson completed 16 hours of community service and a decision-making course.

Houston police reported that they apprehended Jackson in April as he was changing locks and claiming ownership at an apartment in southeast Houston. Jackson is currently out on bond for the April trespassing case. Attorney Lori Hood said, "None of the paperwork is legitimate."
