COLLEGE STATION — Several individuals are in custody following a vehicle pursuit in Brazos County during which shots were fired at a Brazos County Sheriff's Office deputy. The incident concluded on the feeder of Highway 6 north of Harvey Road in College Station, with no reported injuries to law enforcement officers or anyone hit by gunfire.

The pursuit initiated on the north end of Brazos County. During the active pursuit, a person inside the fleeing vehicle discharged multiple rounds at the deputy. No law enforcement officer discharged their service weapon during this event.

Multiple crime scenes are currently being processed across the area. These locations include parking lots of various businesses along Highway 6 in College Station and Bryan, as well as sites on Harvey Road in College Station. The pursuit concluded specifically in front of a Ford dealership situated on Highway 6 near Harvey Road in College Station.

Brazos County Sheriff's Office Deputy Nathan Dennis said, "One of our deputies was involved in the pursuit that began on the north end of the county and ended on the feeder of Highway 6 just north of Harvey Road in College Station." Dennis added, "During that pursuit, someone in the fleeing vehicle fired multiple shots at the deputy, but no one was hit by gunfire. We can also confirm that no law enforcement officer fired their service weapons during the incident."

There is no continuing threat to the public following the apprehension of the individuals. As a result of the ongoing investigation, southbound Highway 6 is closed from Woodville Road to Tabor Road in Bryan, and traffic is being redirected to the Woodville Road exit.
