The crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. local time when Miller, driving a 2023 Ford Bronco, crossed the center line on Mo-96 while traveling eastbound. His vehicle struck a semi tractor-trailer, but the driver of the semi was not injured. Miller was subsequently airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for treatment.
