New York Jets right tackle Armand Membou, the 7th overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, discussed his rookie season in June 2025 following organized team activities (OTAs). Membou started all 17 games during his rookie year, playing 1,047 of the Jets' 1,048 offensive snaps.

Membou committed 11 total penalties in his initial season, with most being presnap infractions. He did not incur a holding penalty in the final 11 games of the season. Joe Tippmann played all 17 games at right guard alongside Membou. The Jets' ground game ranked tied for 10th in the NFL with 2,096 yards, and Breece Hall surpassed 1,000 rushing yards. "I mean, obviously it started having AVT go down, but then to have Tipp come in and play the way he did all 17 games, it really helped me [to] have that chemistry with my right guard," Membou said.

Membou cited his first NFL game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and linebacker T.J. Watt as a notable experience. "It was like my first game, against T.J. Watt," he said. "So my mindset was just go out there and just go compete as hard as I can."

OTAs concluded last week, and players will return in mid-July for the start of training camp at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center. Jets Center Josh Myers said Membou has the talent and mentality to be one of the greats, stating, "Membou has the ability to be, like, great, great, great, one of the greats."
