WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. military officials have been compiling a daily video montage of major strikes in the Iran war for President Donald Trump's briefing in Washington, according to U.S. military officials. The compilation shows video of the biggest, most successful strikes on Iranian targets over the previous 48 hours.

The video montage typically runs for about two minutes, sometimes longer, according to U.S. military officials.

The video briefing has fueled concerns among some of Trump's allies that he may not be receiving or absorbing the complete picture of the war, according to U.S. officials. Trump has privately questioned aides why the news media does not emphasize what he sees in the videos, according to a U.S. official.

"That's an absolutely false assertion coming from someone who has not been present in the room. Anyone who has been present for conversations with President Trump knows he actively seeks and solicits the opinions of everyone in the room and expects full throated honesty from all of his top advisors," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

Five U.S. Air Force refueling planes were hit in an Iranian strike at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, according to a U.S. official. Trump was not briefed about the strike on the five refueling planes and learned about it from media reports, according to a U.S. official.

Advisers told Trump that the planes were not badly damaged, according to a U.S. official.

"Trust in the mainstream media is at an all-time low and their overwhelming negative and biased coverage of Operation Fury, which has been a massive success, proves why the president is rightfully frustrated. The media spends more time using fake anonymous sources to sow chaos than focus on the successes and victories of our great United States military against the Iranian regime," Leavitt said in a statement.
