MONACO — Charles Leclerc has agreed to a new long-term contract with Ferrari. The team announced the contract renewal ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.

Ferrari stated the agreement will keep Leclerc with the team for the coming seasons. Leclerc said, "I couldn't be happier to continue this journey with Scuderia Ferrari HP."

Leclerc, who is 28 years old, said, "Being a Ferrari driver is a dream, but it's also a responsibility I never take for granted." He added, "Together we've shared incredible moments and some tougher ones, but I believe in this team more than ever, and I'm deeply grateful that we will keep pushing side by side toward our shared goal of bringing the World Championship back to Maranello."

Team Principal Fred Vasseur said, "Charles has been part of the Ferrari family for many years now and this renewal feels like something very natural for us." Vasseur added, "We appreciate his talent, we love his determination and the way he approaches every day with the people in the Scuderia, both on and off the track."

Leclerc joined the Ferrari Driver Academy in 2016 and won the Formula 2 championship in 2017. He made his Formula 1 racing debut in 2018 with Sauber before joining the team in 2019. Since then, he has started 155 races for the team, winning eight Grand Prix races and achieving 27 pole positions.

Leclerc currently holds third place in the drivers championship standings. He finished fourth at the Canadian Grand Prix and won the Monaco Grand Prix in 2024. Despite these achievements, he described the Canadian Grand Prix weekend as the worst of his career. Leclerc withdrew from scheduled media appearances ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix.
