TEL AVIV — The 'We Shall Rise' immersive art installation opened to the public with its first viewings on Sunday, May 31, 2026, on the rooftop of the Azrieli Tel Aviv Mall. The installation presents a visual narrative of events in Israel from October 7, 2023, through late May 2026.

Photographer Ziv Koren documented this period intensively, and his images form the core of the exhibit. "In the last two and a half years, I've been documenting intensively, from the morning of October 7 (2023), until the last days, everything that happened in Israel during this period of time," Koren said. His photographs include scenes of destroyed kibbutzim, wounded Israeli children, conflicts with Iran, and returned hostages reuniting with loved ones.

Koren added, "People think that when you're holding a camera in front of your face, it blocks you from feeling towards the subject that you're photographing, and it's totally the opposite." Writer and poet Noam Horev provided the narration accompanying Koren’s visuals. Horev said, "We've been through a really tough and hard three years, and we wanted to find some hope, some optimism." He also shared, "My partner went into miluim (IDF reserves service) for a long, long time, and I stayed home alone. So writing was the place I ran to."

The installation spans a 500-square-meter space with ten projections, enhanced by design firm DISKIN. Danna Azrieli, CEO of the Azrieli Group, attended the launch and explained that the mall’s proximity to Tel Aviv Hashalom train station, parking, and bus stops ensures broad public access. "Everyone here went through something. And the goal is that through these moments (depicted in the installation), each of us can find ourselves in ways that we've all experienced," Azrieli said. She added, "And that way we can all find our way toward a sense of rising up, going forward, and healing."
